Get to Know Our Owner

Margot Whittaker, a fully qualified dog groomer and dog trainer, owns Panache 4 Paws! With a particular interest in dog and horse psychologies, Margot deeply cares for our four-legged friends and works with like-minded people in her home.

Margot’s Story

Living a very full life in the country with her family and animals, Margot has a deep interest and connection with both human and animal psychologies and behaviours. Understanding some of the principles and theories of these methods has enabled her to help people both professionally and personally to get the very best out of life and from within themselves.

Her interest in dog behaviours then led her to understanding the psychologies of dog training, which she has been undertaking successfully at her home, along with advice on problematic dog behaviours. She is currently working towards her Advanced Canine Behaviour and Psychology Diploma which she hopes to finish at the end of 2017 along with her Advanced Dog Training Instructor qualification.

Margot is a passionate horse lover, too. She has been horse riding since her younger years and has ridden many horses in the past using natural horsemanship methods.

Margot has been a nurse for more than 30 years and has studied Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) in the past which amongst other things models excellence and getting the very best from a situation  . She now practices as a Master NLP Practitioner and Hypnotherapist. Please ask for more details if you would like to know more.

With a yearning to work from home, she runs her successful business within the grounds of the place she loves best – her glorious home in Alston, nestled between Yealmpton and Holbeton near Modbury and just 9 miles from Plymouth, which is located in the depths of the South Devon countryside. She owns 12 horses, two large German Shepherds, not to mention the numerous cats, rabbit and hamsters.
