Margot Whittaker, is a fully qualified dog groomer and dog trainer, and is the proprietor of Panache 4 Paws! She also has a particular interest and understanding of dog psychology which she uses when dog grooming when dogs come to the salon who may be a little more challenging initially, Margot has had animals of her own all of her life and understands the nuances of different animal characters that may require patience and understanding in order for the grooming session to be calm and an enjoyable experience.
Living a very full life in the country with her family and animals, Margot has had a deep interest and connection with both human and animal psychologies and behaviours for many years. Being a nurse by profession for well over 30 years, she has embraced and practised many of the principles and theories of these methods within her work in order to help people both professionally and personally to get the very best out of life from within themselves and the environment they find themselves in.
Her interest in dog behaviours then led her to understanding the psychologies of dog training,. As a fully trained dog trainer, Margot now runs small groups of dog training which she has been undertaking successfully at her home, along with giving advice on problematic dog behaviours. She is currently studying towards her Advanced Canine Behaviour and Psychology Diploma along with her Advanced Dog Training Instructor qualification.
Margot is a passionate horse lover, too. She has been horse riding since her younger years and has ridden many horses in the past using natural horsemanship methods.
Margot has studied Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) in the past which amongst other things models excellence and getting the very best from a situation . She now practices as a Master NLP Practitioner and Hypnotherapist. Please ask for more details if you would like to know more.
With a yearning to work from home, she runs her successful business within the grounds of the place she loves best – her glorious home near Yealmpton, just 9 miles from Plymouth, located in the depths of the South Devon countryside, along with her husband and younger daughter. She owns and breeds miniature horses that mean the world to her , and two standard horses she rides along the country lanes. She also has a large German Shepherd who is her best friend, and two little characterful Papillon toy dogs that have brought warmth and excitement into the home.
